Terms

This is a list of terms our system frequently uses for our identities. This includes ones that may be important to us but not especially widely known, e.g. toric.

It also includes ones that are widely known (e.g. lesbian) but where we have a different understanding of them than others might. While individual experiences are described on pages, it may help to have a baseline understanding of what we understand this term to mean.

Some pages also contain terms where we don't define them in an unusual way but where we do have a particular history (including trauma history) that means that, if they appear in our system, they tend to not just exist for their own sake but be connected to or symbolic of something else (e.g. bisexual). While queer identities are not symbolic in and of themselves, they can be in a system. These pages explain some of that.
