Rainer's identity statement

Rainer's identity explained in his own words.

So, one thing to know about me is that, judging based on my name and when I split ("Rainer" was an old name Vyvian used and I'm basically a replacement version for the original Vyvian), I am basically a reflection of our body and our actual life, but through the lens that that life was lived by (a different version of) our OC Troy.

I am intersex in the same way that our body is, where I was born with XY chromosomes and ambiguous genitalia that were surgically altered, and then raised as a girl. I consider myself trismasculine, in that I was raised as a girl and am transitioning to masculinity from that, but also that the XY chromosomes and some of the parts I was born with are consistent with my identity as a man.

I do not consider myself to have been born a binary man, so my self-identification as a man in a way that is mostly binary is transgender. However, it's in an intersex way where I don't consider my birth sex to be female but rather androgynous or neutral.

I am also other genders in addition to male, or at the same time as male. Many of my xenogenders relate to things I associate with my identity as a man, namely dogs and substances. Some of my xenogenders I relate to in a purely abinary way. For that reason, I consider myself both male-aligned and xenic.

I consider my xenogender experience to be completely transgender, as I do not feel that my intersex condition relates to any of the subjects of my xenogenders, nor does the gender I was raised as.

I also identify as certain neogenders, namely ones relating to eeriesness, angels, and/or weirdcore aesthetics. I understand that neogenders are separate to xenogenders, and I know some of the differences, but I do not feel that most of my neogenders are in a different "category" to me than my xenogenders are, so when I say I'm xenic, I'm referring to the way in which I relate to my neogenders (and I'm not really aware of a word that means "neogender-aligned" anyway). One exception is kenochoric, which most of my system (including me) feels as a separate identity to xenogender or other neogenders.

I feel more connected to being a man when I am in a relationship with another man. I don't know if I'm strictly gay male or not. I am in a romantic relationship with Merriel from my system, who is not a man but is a veldian. I don't know if I'm attracted to non-binary people too or only if they identify as a same or similar orientation to me. I am probably not attracted to binary women, and I don't think I'm interested in dating people who align themselves too much or strictly with femininity, since it's easy for relationships like that to fall into gender norms that aren't healthy for anyone, even if the people involved aren't trying to enforce those norms.
